Cook is really witty and funny. He starts the interview by playing a trick on Caldwell. Pretty amazing considering that he's probably exhausted from days of interviews. And he stays incredibly eloquent throughout. For those who dob't get the joke: Cook was supposed to say, "Only on Idol Tonight" (that's the name of the show). Instead, he said "From Justin to Kelly." That was funny for two reasons. First, Justin Guarini is the show's co-host (he's the white guy with the afro). Secondly, "From Justin to Kelly" was one of the biggest film flops of that year, and a major embarrassment for Justin, Kelly Clarkson and American Idol. For those who don't know, dry wit or humor told in such a way that it's not always obvious. The weird thing about Archie is that his wit and humor aren't even obvious to him because it's unintentional. It's not laugh-out-loud-HAHA humor but rather something that requires a bit of thought to get. Try searching for videos of comedian Steven Wright. David Cook is really funny and witty. Listen to his first impression of Syeesha as a mute. And then his interaction with Archuleta. Cook is right on. Poor Archuleta seems completely oblivious as to how lovably goofy he is. David Archuleta is almost the opposite of Cook in their speaking abilities. Whereas Cook is always smooth, witty and eloquent, Archuleta struggles to express himself. Cook is a pleasure to listen to, but I often wonder what he's REALLY thinking. Is he just trying to sweet-talk the audience? I have no such issues with Archie. He's like a little kid, innocently saying things without realizing their full meaning. But he's never mean. I've never heard any 17 y/o say "gosh" so much! These guys seem genuinely nice and respectful of each other. Check out the TV Guide poll and you'd see Archuleta leading by a lot in the beginning, with Cook skyrocketing up. Despite Caldwell and Guarini's praise, Byrd didn't seem too thrilled by Cook's song choice. She impresses me with her honesty. Since Cook has won, she could have easily taken credit for helping Cook with the song. Instead, she still seems lukewarm about it. I'[m impressed that Cook took such a risk by choosing a "female" song -- and did it so well. What a sensitive guy!...

Jason gives a classic answer! And poor David A probably got yelled at by his abusive stage dad (who has been banned from the backstages of Star Search and American Idol). People think Jason is an idiot but he's actually very intelligent. He was attending college on a full scholarship for an architectural-related degree. He also had over 1300 on the SAT (that's high if the essay section isn't included but very low if it was included). Plus, he played on the soccer team....

Michael Johns was the surprising winner in many of the categories. It surprised me that he was the Class Clown, especially since he's the oldest.
