Kimberly Caldwell interviews David Cook; Tricks girlfriend at beginning
Cook is really witty and funny. He starts the interview by playing a trick on Caldwell. Pretty amazing considering that he's probably exhausted from days of interviews. And he stays incredibly eloquent throughout.
For those who dob't get the joke: Cook was supposed to say, "Only on Idol Tonight" (that's the name of the show). Instead, he said "From Justin to Kelly." That was funny for two reasons. First, Justin Guarini is the show's co-host (he's the white guy with the afro). Secondly, "From Justin to Kelly" was one of the biggest film flops of that year, and a major embarrassment for Justin, Kelly Clarkson and American Idol. It proved that the Idol name didn't guarantee success.
Cook is at his cutest when he starts crying at 0:51. Watch the way his face is slanted, looking at Caldwell with those expressive eyes. Is she dating him? See my video where he asked her out to dinner.
