Nathan Jonas "Joey" Jordison is an American rock musician. He is best known for his role as the drummer for the band Slipknot. He is also well known as the guitarist for Murderdolls, a glam metal/horror punk band which he founded in the 2000s, that is currently on hiatus due to the Murderdolls' members' main projects. As of 2007, he is also Black Metal band Gorgoroth's live drummer for the United States. In 2006, he was the drummer for the industrial metal band Ministry. For the most of 2007, Jordison took over the drumming duties for the nu-metal band Korn before going back to the studio to work on Slipknot's fourth studio album. In the summer of 2004 at Download Festival, Lars Ulrich of headliners Metallica was unable to perform with the band. Jordison stepped up and filled in for Ulrich.
